About me

Hi there! I’m Sherri and I live in SRQ- which is the airport code for my stomping grounds in Sarasota, Florida. Beach essentials are stored in my car at all times. One never knows when the opportunity of retreat-to-my-favorite-shoreline could arise (it’s a short drive away – be jealous). Though I was not born here, the salt water and sandy beaches reside deep in my soul. May God strike me dead if I stop being grateful for this place I call home.

I have survived raising two daughters, and we have all survived two divorces. So a lot of what I share is along the lines of, well, survival. Grace is a huge part of my life. As one who has received so much, I try to generously dispense it as well. I know how much encouragement means and perhaps my thoughts that spill out onto these pages will provide some to you.

Easter, 2022

Twenty-five years after escaping graduating high school, I enrolled in college. The lack of a degree was one regret I could fix, and I finished with honors in May of 2019. One benefit of higher education was understanding how much I loved to write, and I’ve been blogging ever since.

Where I find my peace…

With my fancy new degree, and 17 years of full time ministry, I was ready for a career change. I landed a corporate job at one of the largest manufacturers in the area. And how fun for me, I am on the education team and help develop curriculum and programs that help people learn about our products. People who like to learn are my kind of people, and I am grateful daily for the opportunities to grow.

With graduation behind me, I continue to write for my own sanity. Don’t let that stop you from comments and shares, though. Everyone loves a little kindness.
